Gottardini Organic Farm in Tupungato, Argentina

For a week my friend Molly and I volunteered on the Gottardini farm just outside of Tupungato, Argentina. This rural town of 40,000 people is growing its reputation for the fine wines they produce. To satisfy our hunger, there was a plethora of organic fruits and veggies at the farm. Molly painted her last mural in South America and we got to contribute and watch the process. Thank you Gottardini family for being so kind to us!

Orlando Gottardini, furthest right, owns the land and invited us to stay and work at the farm. Antonio, next to Orlando, lives on the farm and takes care of the animals and crops. Teresa, furthest left, volunteered with us and brought a great vibe to the house.

Grapes grow here at Gottardini farms with the Andes Mountains in the background. Tupungato, the tallest peak in this photo, above the house, is an active volcano.

Molly begins here mural inside the house

The inspiration for the mural. The 'sauce' (sah-oo-say) or Willow tree

Orlando took us to visit a vineyard that was harvesting their chardonnay grapes.

Orlando trying to catch lunch. Trout and salmon swim upstream and are abundant.

Molly and Teresa play games with the melon picked from the farm. There weren't too many things to do on the farm, so we kept ourselves busy by being silly

The day we took this picture was Friday. We did our best Fashion Friday pose

Molly continues her mural

Finished product. Saucy I should say.
