Lake Tahoe and Death Valley (Sept 3rd -5th)

Devon and I drove from Burning Man festival to Lake Tahoe. Burning Man was quite an awesome way to end our summer selling books with Southwestern. We went from working 24/7 to partying and relaxing 24/7. There are so many great people and great vibes happening there in Black Rock city.
Upon arriving in Tahoe one evening, we found a camping spot near the lake and passed out. The next morning, we went swimming in the refreshing water and then drove around the lake all day. What a beautiful place! The following night we camped near Emerald Bay. We awoke the next morning at sunrise to hike to a lake where we went swimming and relaxed for a couple hours. Later that day, we drove through Death Valley National Park on our way to Las Vegas.

Devon and me at Emerald Bay. A couple good looking Swedish girls were nice to take our picture

Can you guess which car is ours? We were living in the desert for a week before we arrived in Tahoe.

Devon, keepin it fresh

This is where we hiked to our last morning in Tahoe

This picture is for Missy Dykes, the mother of Adam, my roommate in college. She is my second mother. There will be more colorful birds to come!

This is a cool lookout point in Death Valley. Death Valley is famous because it is the hottest, driest and largest national park in the US. It also has the second lowest point in the Western hemisphere at -282 feet below sea level.

Devon is trying to cool off with the strong winds near the lowest point. His Geo Prizm doesn't have air conditioning, so we got sweaty in the long car rides.
